Moms: Rec your Pedi, please

I know there have been a lot of these posts, but I never paid any attention to them because...I never thought I'd need one Embarrassed At least not anytime soon.

Please, could you help a sister out?  We live in Carrollwood, but will be hopefully moving to the New Tampa area in late August and we both work in Wesley Chapel, so anywhere in those areas would be preferable.

THANK YOU

At first I was like "What the hell is she talking about?!".  Haha.  Then I re-read the title and could see how you thought this post was about nails.  Haha :P

  • We love our pedi. We see Dr. Jamie Mallah and Dr. Colon @ VanDyke Pediatrics. Their office is attached to St. Joe's north. Not sure if that is an area that works for you. We primarily see Dr. Mallah, but have seen Dr. Colon a handful of times. She is newer (~6yrs in practice) and he is more established (20+) years in practice. I find it is a nice balance of old school and new school. We did a few dr. interviews before choosing. We knew as soon as we met Dr. Mallah that we were going to pick her. Good luck! Let me know if I can help if you have q's.

  • I have been going to Pediatric health care alliance since I was a child, and my daughter goes there now. I used to see Dr. Buzzeo as a child and I LOVE LOVE LOVED him, he is now at the Lutz office so taking DD to him isnt possible. They have offices all over.
  • Lily sees Dr. Marasco at Healthpoint Medical Group in Carrollwood. I've always been very happy with her and their office in general.

  • hahaha, Lovethesun you're going to have to look at "pedi" a little differently going forward.

We go to North Pinellas Children's Medical Group and see Dr. Allison, she is wonderful and very thorough.  They have an office off Racetrack Rd near Countryway.  Here's their website:

  • Kennedy was seeing Dr. Hiben off Fletcher.  I really did like him.  I loved his laid back attitude and he's great with Kennedy.  But he's dismissed a lot of concerns and takes the attitude, that you should do what he says because he's the doctor, end of story, don't ask questions.  I'm on a mission for someone new.

  • We see Nadal pediatrics in Brandon A little out of the way but it might help anyone else looking in this area. Dr Nadal is nice but I prefer using one of his nurse practitioners. She's always helpful when it comes to our concerns and she was a NICU nurse so with DD she was a lot more helpful with my concerns about shots and everything else. When DS was having trouble adjusting to the new baby she actually got a little teared up with me when we were discussing tantrums etc its always been important that the doctor doesn't try to push me into something and she never has so i recommend the office and NP there.

My mother also highly recommends Pediatric Health Care Alliance. I don't live in WC but I believe my brother takes my nephew there.
