hey hun. here's some donation info for you
You can send physical donations of items needed, but you can also order through amazon and have them shipped directly to the Christian Service Mission to save on shipping. The donations dh and I helped collect on Saturday went there. They are collecting donations from individuals, but they're also a drop point from multiple donations going on throughout the city. They sort and package up to ship out to all these communities.

Here's a little blog post I found on items needed, ways to give, etc. I know you can text through the red cross to donate $. That might be the easiest.

There's a million different lists out there on what's needed. But I thought of it as...if I lost everything (which most of these people did), what would I need. A couple of things that aren't on that list, but are totally necessities here in Alabama right now. bug spray and sunscreen. Also work gloves for workers.
Also, if anyone's interested. I found these adorable tshirts today on fb. They're not taking orders just yet, but will be soon. A group of designers in Nashville got together to design these great shirts to help raise money for relief efforts.'Love yall' is my fave. That's a common phrase around here. ![]()
