Re: FFFC
LOL dh and I don't care for them either though he is much more adamant.
And I quote: "just so you know our kid is not wearing crocs, just because they are little that does not make them cute they are just dumb on a smaller scale".
Sorry croc lovers.
Crocs are dumb. They are garden/pool shoes. How have they made their way to every day wear? Irritating!
I think it's such a double standard that people find it acceptable to comment on how small or "anorexic" a person looks or say things like "they need to eat a cheeseburger" but would never think of doing the same for someone overweight.
I think your DH may have just gained some points in my book despite not thinking you are hilarious.
We sent out a 'no crocs allowed' letter to parents when I was working at a preschool. We got tired of the kids falling all over themselves, and having kids in tears because they lost the stupid charm things in the sand. Parents were up in arms about it. You would have thought we told them that their kids couldn't wear pants to school.
He is crazy. I will HAPPILY go with you!
My Happy House
All of my high school age nieces do this. I don't get it!
Leggings saved my life this PG though. A$$ fully covered.
LOL, dumb on a smaller scale!!!
I was the bigger person and bought her a grandma card, but I wouldn't sign it or send it out. She sucks! I feel your pain
You are both better people than I am.
ummmm me too. i still think it does, but maybe means speaking of?
haha yes! And the same question being asked over and over and over
If he doesn't send it out in tomorrows mail, I will save it for my mom next year.
MIL was crazy again yesterday. She now wants to go visit LO at day care and just sit there and play with him, and wanted to know the codes to get in the parking lot and building. We pay them good money to keep her crazy butt away, and he's doing good there, we don't need that to be screwed up because she is a looney lady.
Yeah I am not sure if it was here or my anniversary board but someone recently posted that it was speaking of. LOL
THIS times 50!!!! About 2 months ago, I got my wisdom teeth out and lost a lot of weight because of the dry sockets that followed. Also, I started running with DH, therefore keeping this lost weight off. MIL repeatedly has said to me "you need to put on weight..." etc. I would consider myself thin, but never too skinny (I'm about 120 and 5'2). I hate when people think it's ok to make comments that someone is underweight, or to automatically assume they "are annorexic". I don't assume you need to be in over-eaters' anonomous because you're tipping the scales...
Ok, rant over.

Siiiigh. People commenting on other people's weight, no matter what, is rude. People commenting on other people's food is rude too. But whatever.
FFC#4 - I want to be thin enough for people to tell me to eat a cheeseburger. Sigh.

This!!! For me it's up there with getting married and having babies. Mind your own effing business.
Sorry this is coming from a picky eater, my taste is often brought up at the dinner table for no good reason everyone and their momma think it's cool to talk about it.
Well said!
Some people just assume that thin people have a problem. Some have a hard time keeping weight on, same as others have a problem keeping it off.
I can tell you at the moment weight gain is not a problem, lol. However, when some random stranger woman in my building AT WORK asked me if I was "anorexic or something?" I have never forgotten it.
Who says that? It's like the equivalent of someone overweight being asked when their baby is due.
LOL
Hahaha... I totally agree.
I confess that sometimes when I'm in a bad mood I go onto the bump boards and make slightly snarky comments at stupid women posting that they know the sex of the baby at 11 weeks already, or wondering if they killed their baby because they ate a hotdog, or a number of other things. I know it's terrible.
BWHAHAHAHAHA!!! Omg are you serious? Love that.
Yeah. It's true. Sometimes it's just so hard not to though. I kid you not, some chick posted a bump picture of herself at like 17 weeks, and asked if we could tell what she was having based on the picture. Everyone was like "Well, I don't know, let me get on my Ute goggles and I'll look through your belly". I don't even think I responded to that one because it was just so maddening.
I think because I'm anxious to find out the sex next week, (and obviously just to see baby again and hear that everything looks good), I'm highly irritated by people that think the "angle of the dangle" guess at 11/12 weeks is highly accurate. I mostly flame those people.
I'm mean.
I don't buy it. You're too nice!!!!!
Oh yeah, I also confess that I ate a chocolate brownie for breakfast. It had lots of chocolate frosting on it and was delicious.
In my defense, I didn't eat "breakfast" until 10:30 so I suppose we could consider that part of an early lunch? Perhaps my other confession is that I didn't wake up until 10:00 to begin with.
No you're not - on my month board I swear the same question is asked every four seconds. It's maddening. Some of these questions should be directed towards their doctor - not random internet people! I had a girl tell us she found out she was pregnant at 2 weeks - she didn't understand how that wasn't possible. Amazing how she got pregnant in the first place.
LoL. Yes. Those are some of my favorite posts too.
"DH and I are really excited since we were only trying for 2 weeks."
I confess it also annoys me when women kinda ***-foot into the tri boards like "Can I please come over?" or "Do you mind if I post here?" like they're gonna get burned alive if they post a day early. Just move on over to the damn board and post away. Now I really sound like a whore. I blame the hormones.
My FFFC is that I think Crocs are completely acceptable-looking for kids. And certain styles are even okay for grown-ups. :::GASP::: And, I own several pairs and so does DD! :::DOUBLE GASP!:::
Another FFFC is for those people on message boards that think they NEED to be the experts on certain topics--any topic--and give negative opinions or unsolicited advice. ANNOYING!
And to agree with a few PPs, the Bump is f*cking annoying.
Whew, that felt pretty good. Maybe I should do FFFC more often.
Hahaha.. thanks Erin.
