Re: Confessions?
I can understand that. I really can and I don't think it's corny.
I also can't/don't/won't begrudge someone if they want a present commemorating their efforts and struggles.
Pregnancy is not easy. Childbirth is not easy. The post birth breastfeeding, sore nipples, torn vagina or csection incision are painful, and hormonally induced crying fits are not easy.
The baby is a gift you and your husband/partner share amongst yourselves and your families.
A small, thoughtful token saying, "Hey you, good job in making and growing and birthing a person! Thanks for being awesome. This is for YOU." is, IMO, just a nice thing to do. Doesn't have to be extravagent, either.
100% agree with LD
My little nuggets
Pretty sure P has no clue what a push present is. I didn't get anything nor did I want anything. I don't wear jewelry (with the exception of my wedding rings) so yeah it would have been pretty pointless because I couldn't imagine what i would have asked for?
That being said he did get me a mother's day present, a family photo session with our wedding photog, which i am super thrilled about.
I confess I love all 'hallmark' holidays. they are just pure fun. sure, I say I Love You outside of Valentine's, but Father's Day? Nothing is going to make me as mushy as ever as this Father's Day. And I have already bawled twice about Mother's Day this weekend.
I didn't get a push present and that is OK...but I wouldn't have turned one down (said the girl who lost one of her little diamond studs in the past 2 weeks since they are the only non-danglers I have and the only 'safe' jewelry to wear around little miss grabby paws.)
