Re: Flame Free Friday Confessions
Here's mine: As much as I have loved being PG I am over it and ready for this baby to arrive. DH thinks he won't arrive until the 17th-21st. I think I might go crazy if I do have to wait that long. I have been in constant pain from right below my boobs down to my feet. I am tired of this baby sticking what ever body part it is up under my ribs and hurting me. At the same time, I feel kind of guilty for thinking this way since it took us so long to get PG and is something I have wanted for a long time.
K&K's post above is great birth control.
I suck at staying on a budget. Really, I do. So I'm not letting myself go into Target, Kohls, or any clothing store for the month of May. I need to learn to say "no" again.
I love MIL and my mom, but I'm really happy that we're not going to be spending Mother's Day with either of them. As much as I love family time and holidays, we've been seeing tons of both sides lately, and I could use a weekend with DH now that his season is over. Even though I'm still pissed at him about yesterday
I think my Grandma is being completely irrational when she gets butthurt that I don't send her a Mother's Day card, you're not my mom, woman.
Glad I could help out CD!
I suck on staying on a budget as well! We should be cutting down on expenses (it is hard!) since when I am on mat leave we will only be getting 2/3rds of my normal paycheck and with DH just getting this new business going he doesn't think he will pull a paycheck for himself for at least the first 6 months he is open.
This is just a vent. I got a sample inhaler for symbicort yesterday at the dr and used it first thing and then forgot about it last night AND this morning. Who's sucking air this morning? This lady. Color me stupid!!
Oh boy, I have a few.
1. Took my blood pressure last night and it was super high. Realized we were using the cuff wrong, took it again, and it was totally normal. We're morons.
2. I hate that so many people on the Bump post the titles of their posts in all caps with multiple punctuation marks. A normal question does not need 3 question marks. I haven't said anything yet and it really annoys me that they never get called out on it. I just want to say "Stop screaming at me!"
3. I'm a little scared people are going to judge me for staying at home for a year instead of going straight back to work.
4. I get annoyed by half the stuff DH posts on Facebook.
4. I just might flip out on the next person who acts like I'm the world's worst human being just because I only want one child. So may people act like I'm saying I don't ever plan on feeding my child when I say we're one and done. I am just as tired of my mom telling me I'll change my mind once we have this kid. Of course that's a possibility, but I don't want to make an emotional decision on having a child (like awww I miss having a baby....let's have another). I want it to be logical and I can be logical about it now.
Is this open at work? Not that I'd say anything, but y'know.
No it's not definite yet, but we're strongly considering it. I'm not going to say anything until we're 100% sure that's what I'm doing.
Oh absolutely. I knew you were considering it.
Sometimes I wish I could be selfish and not worry about anyone but myself. I wish I could apply to the jobs I want to apply for and move to a city I would like to move to and not have to worry about other peoples plans/feelings and what it means to them.
Of course I don't really want this because the trade off is a great marriage & friendship with a wonderful man, but still sometimes I just want to tell everyone to leave me alone. lol That sounds bad. I think maybe I'm just overdue for a little "me" time.
How dirty??
Very.
& I normally find him to be absolutely obnoxious.
I think people are judging me when they ask how much time I am taking off after I have the baby and I say 7 weeks. Seems like whatever option you choose (going back to work or staying home), you can't win with some people.
No, you can't. You just have to brush them off & do what is best for YOU & your family.
1. I have baby fever. BUT know we should wait another year.
2. I am paying for WW, but hate logging my food.
3. I suck ay staying in a budget too. I don't regret any of my purchases until BOA emails saying the statement is ready. My response is typically sh!t, why did I shop so much. I then have to revisit that when C tells me how he hates having to pay off the cc every month. In his dream world, I would use cash for everything.
4. I am addicted to having Lukes picture taken.every.month.
5. I wish I could skip my nephews birthday party.
6. I wish C never turned down sex. I thought men wanted it all the time?
7. I have been off more than I have worked the last month and I have actually missed work.
Bahaha good! Now I'm curious who though. Initials?
Not giving it up that easy!
Sounds like you already did...
HAHAHAHAHA! Good one.
I can think of one obnoxious person who it could be. GG
I felt like I needed a shower when I woke up.
I have a few
- I want out of childcare so so badly. I love kids, and I love being a teacher, but I just don't want to be a mom to someone else's children all day and then come home and be a mom to my own. Plus the pay = why don't I just go wait tables?
- I really wish people would stop telling me "That's what you say now" in reference to my desire to give birth without drugs. Just because you didn't do it does not mean it CAN'T be done. I get the same reaction in reference to breastfeeding, cloth diapers, ect ect ect.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

With the exception of this brief part-time job that I had that ended today, I have been staying at home for almost two years. I definitely will not be judging you!

I still don't understand why people think it is their place to say anything about this. Rude.

I have two more.
1. The Starting Over board grosses me out. All they talk about it sex and its become a meat market. A couple of guys recently got on there and one posted a half naked pic of himself and all the girls are so desperate they were drooling over him. Ummmm... YUCK!
2. I just went on a marathon shopping spree. My bank account is screaming at me, but I am sooooo happy. I've been drooling over a pair of Steve Madden shoes that are $70, which are a knock off of a pair of Stuart Weitzman espadrilles. I tried on the Steve Madden's tonight and then walked away determined to find a comparable pair for less, and I did! I got a cork bottom pair that are practically the same for 50% off at Charlotte Russe! Heck to the YES!
If anyone cares, here are the original Stuart Weitzman's:

I cant find a pic of the knock offs, but they look just like the originals, but they're cork and they have a "leather" back, not just a free standing strap.
(So #2 turned into a brag, I couldn't help myself!)
I lurk there & ITA. There's on girl on there that I had a massive Knottie crush on back in the day. When I read about her divorce, I was so sad for her. But now... Seeing her post on SO, I can't help but think she's pretty much a wackadoo.
