where to buy wife beaters
okay, i've had it.
i've purchased ribbed tanks from old navy and from the gap and they SUCK. they stretch out so fast and lose shape within hours of putting them on.
where can i get ribbed tanks that stay fitted and aren't 14 miles long?
Re: where to buy wife beaters
Have you thought about switching from ribbed to something else? I am religious when it comes to my tank tops, and I wear exclusively the seamless collection from The Limited. They're generally $25, but you can get buy one get one half off most of the time, and if you look at the sale racks, they often put last season's colors on sale for $9.99. I just bought 5 this weekend.

Target's Liz Lange Maternity collection has surprisingly decent ribbed tanks, but they are longer. I don't think they are ridiculously long for a non-pregnant person, but they don't stop at the belly button.
Have you tried H&M?

I have camis from H&M that work very well, but they have a bit of spandex, and they aren't racerback, so they aren't quite what you want. I've seen the racerback ones there, but I don't know if they come with spandex. FWIW, my camis from there hold their shape very well.
For wifebeaters that I use for layering, I buy boys Hanes XL, where a five-pack is about $6. I wear them for a while (they do get shorter over time, which is so weird), until they wear out, and I feel no guilt about throwing them out and buying new. They are sort of see-through, though, so you can't wear them alone.
I bought these when I was pg with Ellie and I have worn them since. They are awesome and I like the extra length.
my read shelf:
I have a few from H&M. You have to try them on since they all fit a bit different and vary in length. But the ones I have I love. They are stretchy and keep their shape as long as you don't chlorine bleach them.
I have about 1 million of the Long and Lean tanks from Target. I have been buying them for a few years now. They usually will go on sale for $8 every few weeks. (I think they are Mossimo brand, but are located near the more casual Mossimo stuff folded on a table)
For non-ribbed I really like the tanks from Wet Seal. They are rediculously cheap, but are long and very comfy. They have spaghetti straps. Usually located near their basic tees and tanks.
