Thankfully everyone we know is alive. We have 3 friends who lost everything but are uninjured. Lots of others with house damage. I actually lived in Tuscaloosa for 7 years and around the area for another 4...when looking at the pictures I can't tell you where it is if the pics aren't labeled. My family now lives south of Montgomery so the storms mostly passed them by and they are fine.
It's so overwhelming. There's going to be needs for at least a year. My DH and I are working with our local UA alum chapter to set up fundraisers and donation drop offs, especially in the MD area. It really upsets me that so many people died and the news has moved on. The good news is that the missing persons list has dropped from the hundreds to under 25 as of yesterday.
I appreciate you asking!

There's lots of needs; I'll track down one of the websites and post it for you. I know that LeRon McClain (former UA player now with the Ravens) is planning on doing something in Baltimore but I can't find the details yet. Let me get some links up.
One of our friends is the band director at Holt High School and has several homeless students now. He's getting a list of what they need. He also has some students that will need assistance paying their band dues for next year so we're going to start a fund to assist those kids.
