Tonight I am taking DH out to celebrate a promotion he got. I bought a new outfit and want to look nice. However, the issue came up of the fact that he watched me get dressed and saw the dress ahead of time. This bothered me. I was hoping to get all ready and then show him the "whole package" and hope to wow him.
Does anyone else ever think about this? Am I the only one who would prefer to get all ready and dressed and then let him see me. I feel like if he watches the process, then it loses the wow factor.

Re: Wierd ?- Getting dressed
Nope, I've never thought about this. The only times I have gotten dolled up and then had a big reveal were for prom and the wedding.
Marriage takes most of the mystery out of everything. It's not like going on a date when he was just my boyfriend. I'm not going to shoo my husband out of the room while I get dressed. We're normally getting ready together and he's not paying one bit of attention to what I'm doing. But once we're ready, he always tells me that I look beautiful.
Do the creep.
I'm kind of with you on the getting dressed and showing him the whole thing. DH might see me in various stages of getting ready, but he always like to be shown the whole package as a personal one person fashion parade. I know when we went to his sisters wedding he shut the door on me so he couldn't see me putting on all the finishing touches.
It's similar for us. He's either done getting ready way before I am, or he just waits until I'm finished. Either way, he's usually playing video games and paying no attention to me until I walk in the room when I'm finished. We don't make any purposeful for me to surprise him, but it's nice when it just works out that way.
