Des Moines is getting red light and SPEED!! cameras
The article starts on the top right of the Metro & Iowa section of today's Register. The red light cameras are in areas I don't frequent, so I'm not worried about that. The speed camera is going somewhere on I-235. I'm not typically a lead foot in town, so I wouldn't be concerned, except the camera will send a $65 ticket for 1-15 mph over. 1? Seriously?
Re: Des Moines is getting red light and SPEED!! cameras
I'm sure there's some flex room there - your speedometer could be off by 1-2 mph easily!
Honestly, though - driving on I-380 in Cedar Rapids is soooo much nicer since they put cameras in there. I have a tendency to speed, but have slowed down a little in my old age, so that could be my inner-middle-aged lady coming out, too!
