The job I applied for (within the school district I sub for...it's an administrative assistant position) called and asked me to attend a pre screen interview. Any one ever had one before? Any ideas/advice about what might be asked or what I should really focus on in such a short amount of time?

April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
It sounds to me like HR or something is screening candidates before they turn over potential hires to the principal of the school or whoever would be your direct supervisor. That way the supervisor doesn't have to waste time with people who really don't have a chance.
I would focus on everything, to tell you the truth. Review what you wrote in your resume and prepare for any and all questions. You'll probably get the exact same ones WHEN you make it to the final interview, but that will also be to see how well you would fit in with the rest of the team. Dress smartly, like if you were actually going to work, and treat it like a real final interview.
Good luck and keep us updated!
That is interesting. I agree with PP. I will pray you get to the final interviews!
