My Baby Brother's HS Graduation

Hello Ladies! I need some ideas! My mom and I were brainstorming earlier tonight about my brother's graduation party. He's always been an up and down student, 2-3 sport athlete, and great at woodwork. I volunteered to make his party invitations and need some inspiration. School colors are black & gold. I need something that is semi-simple, yet creative. I have many scrapbooking supplies I could use.

My mom is on the verge of burning out with everything going on the next few weeks (work, state bowling tournament, training for work --she's a teacher-- , and then finding time to plan my brother's party and mail off his graduation announcements). With all of that I figured the least I could do was make his party invites. Another problem... we're 4 hours apart from each other so I can't do a whole lot to help.

Any ideas for party invites and/or how to keep my mom from burning out even though we're 4 hours apart?

TIA! :)

Re: My Baby Brother's HS Graduation

  • - Have your brother (not your mom) drop the entire box of his grad invitations in the mail to you.  Address, stamp and mail them for your mom to save her lots of time.

    - Have you looked at doing something simple like Vistaprint for the invitations?  (I loathe crafting, so I'm zero help on a design.)  They're inexpensive and quick.  They even have a couple gold and black in their selection.

    - Tell your mom you'll come up with a complete party plan, with options she can choose from, so that all she has to do at the end is say yes or no to a couple choices.  Don't pester her every day for her input - just do up a couple plans and tell her about them when you're finished.

  • Easy. Order them online from Tinyprints.com. It will take so much stress off you. I promise.
