What are your pantry staples?
Tell me things you always have on hand. I'm trying to better stock my pantry. I usually have bread, milk, cheeses, rice, rotel, canned veggies, frozen veggies, rotel, granola bars, and dark chocolate. Cereals are always there too. And sweet tea.
Re: What are your pantry staples?
I am a really bad pantry stocker. I usually buy what I need, use it all, then go buy more. If there were a catastrophic event, we'd probably get hungry pretty fast. =P
I do pretty much always have spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, some sort of canned beans, bread, peanut butter, cheerios and tea.
Oats, honey, flour, sugar, powdered sugar, baking chocolate, cocoa, baking chips of various kinds and various kinds of mixes. Cereal, instant oatmeal (for H), crackers, pasta of all shapes, Bisquick, onions, sometimes potatoes, canned soups, Rotel, tomatoes, enchilada sauce, green chilies, canned salmon, rice, bread.
In the freezer: chicken, frozen veggies, berries, some buns, and let's be honest: vodka.
Sometimes other things, sometimes not the above. It varies on Sam's trips!
I'm pretty bad about keeping my pantry fully stocked, too...I usually just buy what we need so it doesn't go to waste.
In the pantry, I typically have spaghetti sauce and noodles, different types of soups, a JJ section [juice, pudding, applesauce, Goldfish], rice, crackers, oatmeal, mac and cheese, seasonings and snacks for me [cookies and chips, mainly]. I also always have boxes of cereal [usually Honey Nut Cheerios and Special K] on hand.
In the freezer, I always have chicken, ground turkey, frozen fruits and veggies, pork chops and quick/easy frozen meals. I also always have bread, eggs, yogurt and milk on hand.
