Re: MONDAY!!!

  • I'm way late on this, but Happy Monday!

H and I had a very nice weekend - seems like we always have nice weekends together and going back to work just ruins it!

Friday we got take-out for dinner since we were both exhausted after a long week and didn't feel like cooking.  I ended up getting a salad though, so it wasn't all bad.

Saturday I got up, made breakfast, cleaned and ran the dishwasher, showered, laid out my dress and shoes, then went to my nail and hair appointments.  I came home, got dressed, and H and I went to the Fundraising Gala!  We got there in the middle of cocktail hour / silent auction, met up with my coworkers and their SOs and helped ourselves to the open bar.  Then we headed in to the dining room for dinner and dancing and the live auction.  There were AMAZING things to bid on - everything from jewelry to Red Sox luxury box tickets to trips to Europe.  My personal favorites were (1) "The Most Romantic Night of Your Life" which included a personal tour by the owner of Shreeve, Crump & Low Jewelry store in Boston with a $5,000 store credit towards the piece of your choice, followed by a dinner for two and an overnight stay in Boston; (2) VIP Access to NYC Fashion Week with a $1500 gift certificate to Judith Riptka boutique on Madison Avenue for a new outfit and tickets for a taping of Jimmy Fallon and (3) a trip to LA to see a filming of the episode of GLEE and a meet and greet with the actors.  Millions of dollars were raised for the Child Psychiatry service at my hospital (one couple alone donated $1 million) and the night was a huge success.  I got so many compliments on my dress too =)  We got home LATE like 3AM but it was worth it!

Yesterday H and I went to the hardware store and grocery shopping then back home to cook on the grill for dinner and that was pretty much it.  Back to the grind today!

  • Stef- Congrats on your run!! 31 minutes is great! All that training for you has paid off!

My weekend was recovering from tonsillitis and snuggling with Sammy on the couch watching movies. Even though I wish we could have enjoyed the weather and gone outside. But at the same time, snuggling on the couch was good.

Though I feel kinda lazy hearing that Stef and Deb had their 5K's, Shauni's preparing for a half (hopefully I'll get in for the Nike in October too!) and Leo- who's always a rockstar runner!
