can i sulk for a moment?

i finally sat down with next year's proposed (not official) calendar and the sick days i have left to use for maternity leave to work things out.  this baby will have to start daycare at 11 weeks old!  that seems so young.  with cassidy i was able to work things with christmas, february, and april vacations (plus i had more days to begin with) so that she didn't have to start until 17 weeks.  ugh.  at least she'll be at school with me...

Re: can i sulk for a moment?

  • I had to go back to work after 6 weeks...you're lucky you can get to 11!  But like you said, the upside is she'll be there with you.  All will be well!

  • Hang in there. Ben had to start daycare at 6 weeks old too, and he was fine! It'll be ok. (hugs)

  • I'm almost right there with you.  With Nicholas we had family members who watched him exclusively until he was 14 months old.  With this new baby, while I might get 1 or 2 days from family, it looks like he/she will be starting day care at least a few days a week as soon as I go back to work between 14-16 weeksSad
  • Owen started daycare at 11 weeks old. Its ok.  It sounds so young but really, its when the average mom has to go back to work anyway. Hugs!
  • I can understand why you feel bad about it and you are welcome to sulk away, but how awesome that there is a daycare right at your work! That alone would give me such piece of mind.
  • DD ha dto go at 11 weeks too.  Everything worked out fine.  Hang in there...
