It's Monday, Black Bean Day!

This was delish and easy to make!  It got kinda nervous when I added the beer to the beans but it turned out great.  Why is it that when I use black beans, there is a hint of sweetness? 

ETA:  Kids love it too!

Mmm that looks like it was amazing! I've always thought they have a bit of a sweeter flavor too. Not sure what would off-set it to make them not as sweet tasting though.

I'm down with the sweeter flavor.  I don't think it is too overpowering.  Maybe that is why the kids like it!

I've been using dried beans lately.  I make a batch in the crockpot and then freeze them in small containers for when I need them.  So cheap.  I love it.
