We are going to invite a large group over to our house for my birthday. I am looking for some party snack ideas that are easy to prepare. Some hot or cold items are fine but I would love a list of great tasting treats that can be safely kept at room temperature. I am so sick of chips and veggies and would love to mix in some very yummy snacks for the guests.
The party is going to start around 7 so we are not serving a meal -- just need snacky items. The guest list includes adults and kids.
Thanks!
Re: Party snacks
Hi, welcome over to EI
The regulars know I'd normally create a well-balanced list based on questions about the party atmosphere and the effort you want to put in, but I just had a killer final and I'm brain dead, so you can just choose whatever appeals
Caramel coated walnuts
Cracker spread
Mini grilled cheeses
Fig and goat cheese bruschetta
Spinach pastry diamonds
Dressed up goldfish

And my ever-dependable tomato-bacon-swiss things

2c grated swiss
1 can Rotel, drained
1/2c bacon bits
2 tbsp basil
1 tbsp chopped green pepper

Tear apart the biscuits, stretch thin, and press into mini muffin tins. Add filling. Bake at 375 for 8-10 mins.My Pinterest

A great recipe that is quick and easy:
Take a brick of cream cheese and spead it evenly on a microwave safe dish. Cover the cream cheese with apricot jelly. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper and slivered almonds and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes and serve with crackers
