Re: Inmates and FB

That seems kind of creepy!
Totally unrelated to inmates, however, Brianne, I LOVE your new sig pic! Precious!
Agree on all aspects!
I know exactly what you are talking about and I thought the same thing!!
I have heard time with all their privleges inmates get. It is unbelievable. They can get things that many outside of prision cannot afford! It is somewhat distrubing!!
Nestie Bio
Jill and I are referring to the same person and I won't give details but...I was just really surprised...I have to wonder if he can use it under supervision??
Jail and Prison are two different places. Jail is a holding area for those awaiting sentencing, or who are serving 18 months or under as well as those who are at the end of their sentence and are a part of an "out inmate" program. Prison is where you go after you get sentenced, more than likely for a long period of time.
In jail, no. Inmates do not get computer privileges, or access to cell phones. You get one 5 min. call once a day. Prison has a totally different set of rules, because the inmates are there long term. Most computer access is limited to educational programs, but there are always those who know how to gain access to social networking sites.
At the jail I work with the inmates do not have access to the internet. MSP does not allow access to social networking. I am guessing that maybe the person is having someone post for them.
Oh, gosh, I was only asking about a source because I thought you might have read/heard about it in the media! I wouldn't want to know about a personal source; that's an invasion of his/her privacy, in my opinion.
Idk about other jails, but MH has worked at the Aroostook County Jail for 6 years, Inmates do not have access to computers there, they do however have a phone to make collect calls from right in their dorms (set up with a common room, and separate locked cells, they sometimes share 2-3 to a cell) and a TV with cable... and 3 meals a day...
