I haven't been online much in the last few months. I felt as though I slept through my first trimester and have so far spent the second trimester cleaning my house.
Baby C is growing, growing, growing. I am currently 17 weeks 2 days pregnant and we find out the sex on the 25th.
How are you ladies doing?
Re: I'm not dead!
Glad to hear all is well.
Everything is fine here. I'm still preparing myself for the heatwave that has hit us. I hate to buy new clothes with only 9 weeks to go, but my shirts just aren't long enough to wear without layers underneath and I don't have any capris or shorts.
Stupid midwest weather with its frost one week and ungodly heat the next.
As much as I love clothes shopping, maternity clothes shopping is something completely different.
I'm really tall and have a long torso to begin with, so it's difficult to find shirts that will be long enough for a long torso-ed pregnant belly.
And pants. I hate the underbelly waistband. It's just not comfortable to me. I'm really limited in the selection of full panel capris. $45 for ONE pair of capris with 9 weeks left in my pregnancy? No thank you, Motherhood. And can I find shorts that are an appropriate length? I swear, you'd think the maternity designers are making their shorts for high school girls, with their super short inseam. Ladies in their mid-twenties want to be comfortable, too.
Huh. This turned into a long rant.
I've noticed the short-shorts, too. If they aren't bermuda length, I'm not interested.
The idea of full-panel maternity pants for the summer sounds terrible to me. I'm sweating just thinking about it.
