just 1. but i told my mom i did 3, just to get her off my back. i knew where i wanted to go and i knew i'd get in, so i was cocky about the whole process.
What is in your purse/bag/backback?
everything! i carry a big bag on work days, with all my normal purse stuff, plus a book, notebook, makeup bag, and lots of random stuff.
What gives your life meaning?
that's a tough question. i don't get to participate as much as i'd like in person, but i'm very active online with social justice type movements (feminism, gay rights, environmental issues, etc). i'd love to find a way to actually get paid to work in those fields.
When applying for college, how many schools did you apply to?
I applied to 3 or 4 I think. I got accepted to all but one.
What is in your purse/bag/backback?
A lot of stuff....my wallet, probably a lot of random pens and reciepts (sp?) that I need to clean out...some gum, some chapstick, my sunglasses, my glasses....and who knows what else is in there! :-)
What gives your life meaning?
I don't really have an answer to this question....hmmm I will have to think about it!

What is in your purse/bag/backback? My iPad, sunglasses, a cosmetic bag full of lipstick/gloss, pens, two bottles of water.
What gives your life meaning? Hmmmm, my family and Bill and my students.

I have a weekday purse and a weekend purse. My weekday purse is a laptop bag and has pretty much my whole life in it. On the weekends I carry a smaller purse that I transfer my wallet to and just have lipgloss and a couple odds and ends in it.
What gives your life meaning?
Making a difference. The manner in which I do or to whom I make the difference changes often but as long as I can look back on my day/week/year and feel like as a whole I made a difference to Matt, my mom, a teammate at work, or a patient then I am okay.
What is in your purse/bag/backback? Everything you could ever imagine. DH calls it the Mary Poppin's bag. If you need it, I have it. What gives your life meaning? Having goals and ambitions for myself, knowing who I am, and what makes me happy. DH, family, and friends.

What gives your life meaning?Just being happy and knowing one day I will be a FAR better mom than mine ever was.

What is in your purse/bag/backback? Too much. I tend to keep way too many papers in there, so it's like a filing cabinet, even though it's not that big. I also have a measuring tape, neosporin, and acne medicine.
What gives your life meaning? Being able to spend quality time with those I love - it seriously makes me stupid-happy, big grin and everything
When applying for college, how many schools did you apply to? Just one , SMU, that's the only place I wanted to go to, but I did receive probably 100 letters ( no joke) from different schools expressing their interest me, and my dad saved them all in album for me.
What is in your purse/bag/backback? Vitamins, wallet, mail, lipsticks, powder, mascara, perfume.

this is what happened to me. my school counselor asked me to bring in my scholarship offer letters, for our awards ceremony, and i had to tell her i had a storage tub of them and did she really want them all? i don't know if i still have them all, but it was a little surreal. and, yes, inflated my 18 year old ego quite a bit. i've been humbled aplenty since then.
When applying for college, how many schools did you apply to? Three, I believe... though only one mattered to me.
What is in your purse/bag/backback? It's a jungle in my purse. Wallet, keys, random stuff from jumping from car to car.
What gives your life meaning? Um, I'll go with puppies too. Loaded question.
When applying for college, how many schools did you apply to? I applied to three colleges. I applied to SMU (my 'dream' college), Baylor (because another girl in my class bragged that she was the smartest because she was accepted there) and Tech (as a back up). I was accepted to all three. I went to Tech, because SMU was too expensive and I had to pay for everything myself. I met DH at Tech, so no regrets there. Guns up.
What is in your purse/bag/backback? Pretty much everything. Wallet, keys, lip gloss, checkbook, note pad, etc.
What gives your life meaning? I don't really know how to explain this. It's important to me to not lose sight of what really matters in life. My adult life is much different from my childhood and I know that. It's important to me to give back, so I volunteer for organizations that mean a lot to me and that I know I can help. I'm not even sure if all that makes sense.

3 but 2 were extremely late because even though I got accepted to #1, it just wasn't going to work out.

Receipts out the wazoo, a hair clip, Albertson's Monopoly pieces, $2, lotion, those funky glasses you get at the eye doctor for when your eyes are dilated, a few pill bottles, dry erase markers, post it notes, a CD of pictures, Carmex and the Chinese take out menu I took a few weeks ago. Obviously I need to clean out my purse.
What gives your life meaning?
Right now, the only thing I got going is DH. I don't mean that in a bad way, I just always thought I would have a job that would also give me meaning and right now, it doesn't.

an umbrella, wallet, check book. Sally's add, my husbands new 4 wheeler bill (grr...don't want to make that payment since I was against it the whole time), birth control pills, a Coach wristlet with 4 things of lipgloss, lip stick, and chapstick, two small bottles of lotion, random receipts, several coupons, hand sanitizer, Sally Hansen Miracle Cure, Directv bill, China Glaze Shocking Pink (for my pedi tomorrow), RX bottle of flexaril for leg cramps and neck something that hurts, Burts Bees lemon butter cuticle cream, a business card from a booth in Canton that paints pet portraits, kleenex, a compact mirror, and a nail file. Whew...thats a lot of crap

The three in Abilene. I got accepted to all three and went to McMurry for one semester because they gave me the most scholarships. Then I hated Abilene and living in the dorms so I transferred to TWU after one semester and lived at home through college. It was really great for me.
What is in your purse/bag/backback?
iPod with earbuds, cell phone, wallet, gum, the watch for my bodybugg, kleenex, kindle, papers for work, random receipts, face powder, hair clips and rubberbands, pens, chapstick, lipgloss, two nail files, cough drops, my mom's debit card (whoops!), and tampons
What gives your life meaning?
My family and friends. Seeing the people I love happy means more to me than anything. And kitties.
