I'm taking my last 2 finals this morning, and will be done by 12:30. So excited. Now I get to relax, and be a SAHW for the next month before my summer class starts, where my only responsibilities will include shopping, relaxing, working out, cleaning, and cooking. I can handle that for a short time period.
I also want to say even though he isn't reading this, I really appreciate my DH's support through this whole going back to school process. A girl who I take classes with always talks about her DH and how he constantly complains about her never having time to do housework because she's always studying, and blablabla. And I'm so grateful my DH supports me, and is understanding of what I'm trying to do. It makes this process 200x easier.
Ummm...my photographer is shooting a wedding today in Paris. No, not Paris, Texas. Paris, France. I'm. So. Jealous. To me, that is the ultimate destination wedding. *drool*
And yes, I will be stalking her blog and facebook until I see photos.

Today is the last day of my research fellowship and I have a big poster presentation to do. I'm excited that my DH is coming and that my Dad is coming too. It's been the toughest semester of my life and though I'm ready to head back to UT Dallas for regular school again, I will miss the connections I made.
Now it's time for a week "off" in which we will be working on our house. We're excited!
@ Summer and Meh - I hope finals and presentations go well!
@Lauren yay! we had such a great time in Mexico and I am sure you two will as well.
I am super tired today but I am determined to make it a good day. Make good food decisions and not let negativity get the best of me.
I woke up completely refreshed this morning after only getting an hour more sleep last night.
I am thankful to Glee this morning for exposing me to a song yesterday that I wouldn't have heard otherwise.
I'll admit that I have no idea what goes through our administrators' heads sometimes.
Thanks to Leslie's mention of the blog Ben Does Life, I have spent my Friday and Monday reading all about his journey. I am currently on Page 95 of the blog and I am dying to get caught up today.
Today is the final day of my major work project. Even though I will be here until at least 10:30 tonight, I am so glad I will get my life back tomorrow.
Vacation is just around the corner! See you in 9 days Mexico!!!
Lauren I bet you're excited about Mexico! I hope you guys have a blast!!
I have actually never been to Mexico. Europe, yes. Mexico, no. Hahaha. Weird.
DH and I are more than likely taking a trip to the Riviera next spring for SIL's wedding. The best part? IL's are paying for the immediate family! Woohoo, free trip! I just hope it's either over my spring break or during May, or DH and I won't be able to stay any longer than the wedding because I can't miss class. AND, SIL said their gift to everyone was going to be an "allowance" so we could go do at least one excursion outside the resort. How awesome are they.
Any news on the mod front? Now that there is a lot of activity on this board I think the spam is only going to get worse.
My most difficult final is today and then tomorrow I take one that doesn't even matter (she drops our lowest test grade and all my other tests have been A's), so I consider myself done after 5pm today. I am taking Summer 1 off and going back for Summer 2, so woo hoo for a month break!
We are going to South Carolina for my cousin's graduation/party - he is the one who was offered full scholarship to Princeton - and I have been asked to make 250 cake pops in Princeton colors. They have a small oven and a small freezer, so I am praying this works out.
I have been posting on the Getting Pregnant board sporadically, but yesterday there were a lot of TMI posts about "personal grooming" - I had to avoid the boards for awhile.
I am so thankful to my DH for the same thing. I have been struggling to finish my bachelor's degree forever because I could really only carry 9 difficult hours succesfully with my old job. Chipping away 9 hours at a time takes FOR-ev-ER. When he suggested I leave my job and go to school full time I was floored - it is such a gift.
haha, like you I actually went to Europe before ever going to Mexico.
Your in laws sound awesome! I would so love to go to a destination wedding, I'm holding out that my brother will want one some day.
ETA: Also wanted to say good luck to everyone with finals! I know DH is ready for this semester to be over.

I am seriously considering getting both a Do Life shirt and a Do Life sticker for my car. He will be here July 11th for an impromtu 5k/meet and greet/talk thing. I want to go but my DH doesn't understand my love for a random dude on the internet. We should go!
I actually have zero desire to go to Mexico and, sad to say, I really have no desire to go to Greece at this point in my life either. I love France and Italy so very much and would really rather explore them in depth than go to new places.

Like I have friends who would go to India at the drop of a hat but it doesn't hold any interest for me. Even though they had a close "relationship" with the Romans, the same goes for Egypt and Greece. I'm just, eh. There are other places I do really want to go but I have a list of my "not so much". Plus, I still haven't seen places like Yellowstone, Yosemite, Washington (state or DC), Canada.
We are going to try and take care of those next year. I feel like getting the overseas traveling done before we have kids. We can travel in the states easier once kids come.
Hope everyone does great on their finals!!
Lauren: have fun in Mexico!!
I'm super busy today...I'm ready for September 1st already.
Good luck to everyone with finals. My offer still stands re: being the mod. I will try to see if I can figure out how to contact TN to see if we can get one. KA still has not responded to Brianna.
I would like to go to NYC, California, D.C. and Vegas. I've been to Boston, but I would love to go there again.
I just ordered an entire case of the barbeque sauce, marinade, and seasonings I've ever had. I am SO ready for summer!
Lacey - Are there mod's on other Nest boards? Maybe you could page/PM one of them and find out how they did it?
~Good luck to everyone who is taking finals. I am sure y'all are so ready to be done!
~Ladies have a blast in Mexico!! Can't wait to hear about it and see some pics!
~We should share some pics from our most recent trip?!?! What do y'all think?
Fun! I took like 300 pictures in St Lucia though ha.

I totally did too! Glad I'm not the only camera hog!
I totally did too! Glad I'm not the only camera hog!
Oh, good idea. I will do that. Thanks.
Double post. Grr.
Um, we had so many pictures from our trip last summer to WDW that I needed two scrapbooks to fit all the pages in. I thought I was doing better this past Christmas when my brother and I went but I'm going to need two books again this time.
I think Bill took about 800 pictures while we were in NYC for our HM.
If you haven't already, you might try emailing to this address community@thebump.com and put DFW Nest Moderator in the subject line. I did a quick search for the word moderator and a bunch of posts asking for mod volunteers of other boards came up with instructions to email to this address with the the city in the subject line.
I have noticed that we don't really have a Nest Person who posts contests and Nest-wide announcements. Usually I see Bump Eileen posting that kind of stuff.
Not trying to be pushy, just helpful.
I took my final yesterday and passed the class with an A! I know it's only 1 class but I am working full time and have the kiddo at home so 1 is a beating sometimes. Fall semester is going to be interesting. I decided to take 2 classes and one of them is Business Law and the other is a Math class. I SUCK at math and Business Law sounded like a lot but I need to get them out of the way and I figured it would be easier to get them out of the way with only 1 kid at home instead of 2.
DH and I are taking half days today and going to the Rangers game. Hoping it isn't rained out! So far the radar shows the rain moving north and missing Arlington but we will see!
Oh, I almost forgot. For those of you who do Body Pump classes, I ran a mile before and after class yesterday.
It made the class so much more challenging, you should try it!
I am DONE with finals, thank goodness.
meh - Are you a doctor??
