Baptism Gifts

Do you give one? If so, what makes a good gift? My nephews baptism is in a couple weeks and we were asked to be godparents, but I have no idea if you give gifts or what would make a good gift. My nephew is 6 months old if that helps. TIA.

Re: Baptism Gifts

  • When we're invited to a baptism, we usually give money as a gift. At Ayden's baptism we got money, toys, picture frames, some personalized items, & a cross. Do you have a religious store by you? Maybe they would have something, or the personalized items were from Things Remembered. HTH.

  • As the godparent, you usually give a gift that's religious in nature. If you're Catholic, a rosary, cross or Bible is pretty customary. Otherwise, the cross or Bible is always good. Savings bonds are never frowned upon either ;-)
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.
