Morning!
I visited with my mom today. She was assessed by a swallow-study nurse for her ability to eat. Food was just fine, with liquids she had to clear her throat after each drink so she'll have to do a baruim Xray study where they watch her eat/drink to make sure she;s not aspirating, but she should be fine. She's getting better everyday
She interacted with me the whole time. She seems sleepy but not unaware of whats going on.
As soon as I went to leave, her lung doc dropped in and cleared her to move out of the ICU so she'll have a regular room later today!
