After a little bit of stress yesterday, we officially chose a name : Gabriella Marie. It was the ONLY name that both J and I had on our lists.
The stress was b/c my sister is currently pregnant with #2 (due 6 weeks after me). Her 3 year old DD is convinced that she will be having a sister and so she calls the baby something different almost every other week. Well, this week she started calling her unborn sibling "Gabriella Jesus" (pronounced like the English version of Jesus). So, last night my sister posted on FB " We got to see Gabriella Jesus (that's what DD is calling her) today on an ultrasound !" Well, my heart sank. I texted my sister asking if that was a name she was considering and she said no but that her DD thinks that's the baby's name. So, although my sister knows we are not "stealing" it from her, I was really stressed that our entire family (who are all on FB and both commented and "like"d her post) may think we did. Thankfully, after telling my sister that I was worried that people would think that we stole the name, she texted me that she decided to delete it. I wasn't mad at her (how was she to know it was our top name?!?!), just thought it was such a strange coincidence.

Stand up for something you believe in.
Great choice, I love the name Gabriella. It's always been one of my favorites.

I love that name. And I love Gabby as a nickname.
And hopefully you will find this in no way offensive, but Gabby is actually one of my cats' names and I kind of wish I hadn't named her that so I could consider it as a girl's name.
Not offended at all
I love Gabby as a nn.
