Job help

Do you ladies know of any legit at home jobs?

I checked elance and I have one proposal in but most of the jobs I really am not able to do because they are a little more technical then I am able to do, but I keep my eye on the site every week to see if something is on there for me.

At one time I found a medical transcription site but I don't remember the website and I sorta wish that I would have gone ahead and paid the money to do it.

I really want to stay at home but I have to work at least until February (their maternity policy is that you have to go back to work or pay back all the medical insurance, but it does not say how long you have to stay for).

I know I probably wouldn't make as much as I do now by working from home, but I wouldn't have childcare expenses, save on gas, and other expenses that come from working outside the home.

If I couldn't find a stay at home job I think I am going to start looking for something else.

Re: Job help

  • Just sent you an email. We'll figure it out so you can find work on Elance and work at home! I can't believe how many jobs I'm now being offered! It's awesome!
  • Thanks Caroline. I got your email and will respond in a little while. I put a bid in on one job this morning. It is renaming about 285 pictures. It sounds like he has pictures of books and he will send you a spreadsheet with the ISBN number of the books and you just have to find the book on the spreadsheet and then rename the picture. That is something I could do easily. His budget was not more then $500, so I bid $200 and there was only one other person that bid, so we will see.

  • Just a tip. Bid low at first. If you bid low they are more likely to accept your bid then you will build up your feedback and then can bid higher. For that job I would probably only bid $50. Also look at their past jobs and see what they have paid others and you will get an idea for what they want to pay. When it says $500, they're often only willing to pay $50, they just have to put under $500 as a minimum. Renaming those pics sounds like a pretty easy job so look at it hourly. If it took 3 hours and you got $50, it's more than $15 an hour which is very good.
