Worthington neighborhood in EC?

We are considering buying a home in the Worthington neighborhood in Ellicott City. Is anyone here familiar with the area? I'd love to hear thoughts on the pros/cons of this location. We have a nearly 2-year-old, so insight on the family-friendliness of the 'hood would especially be appreciated!

 Thanks!

Re: Worthington neighborhood in EC?

  • That's a very nice location/area generally I think.

my concern would honestly be traffic.  I'm a wimp though - but I can rarely make a left across Montgomery Road.    but I'm a big wimp lol.

but it's convenient to lots of things, close to the state park,  close to grocery stores, churches, has good schools, etc.

  • Good point about traffic -- I don't think there is a left allowed onto Montgomery Rd from there. We are used to DC traffic though, so it probably wouldn't be that bad!

I don't know much about the neighborhood, but my sister lives close by and when we were looking at houses she recommended that neighborhood. It is a great area with everything nearby.
  • That's a nice area.  I drive by it fairly often and it seems like a nice family area with lots near by.
