Stores that sell organic food?

I will be going to Orlando for two weeks this summer. We are staying at a place with a full kitchen so we are planning on preparing most of our own food. What are good stores to go grocery shopping at?  We eat about 90% organic food. I saw there is a Whole Foods, anywhere else? Whole Foods can get pricey fast. We usually buy a lot at Trader Joes but there are none in Florida Sad TIA.

-BTW we will have a rental car and I really don't mind driving a bit farther for better prices.

Re: Stores that sell organic food?

  • Publix, a regional supermarket chain that's popular around here, has a pretty decent selection of organic foods. In most of their stores, they have a section that's branded "Greenwise" where a lot of the organic and eco-friendly products are grouped together. They also have an organic section in the produce department.

There's a Whole Foods-esque chain called Fresh Market in a location or two, but in my limited experience with them, I've found them to be very spendy--probably more than Whole Foods.

If you're staying near Disney, I believe there are actually a couple grocery companies that deliver to the resorts and rentals in the area. Not sure about their organic offerings, but it might be a nice convenience while you're traveling.

    Hope you enjoy your trip!

  • Ditto Publix... you'll see them everywhere, so that's probably your best bet. Other than that, they may have some smaller local mom & pop stores, but I can't think of any in that area.

  • Chamberlain's sells organic food as well and there are several locations in central Florida.  I've never bought food from there so I can't tell you if they're overpriced or not.  Here is a link to see their locations:
