*Update*

I am home now and just woke up from a long nap.  I was discharged around 11am after another ultrasound this morning and all-night monitoring.  Jax scored an 8/8 on his bio physical profile, had a perfectly stable heart beat all night, zero contractions, and negative lab results.  I still haven't seen a dr. about the follow up ultrasound results but the radiologist said the spot on my placenta hadn't changed at all and was "stabilized".  The u/s tech had a different hypothesis however which concluded it wasn't a spot at all, just blood congestion (which hasn't been confirmed or denied).  Either way I am fine, the baby is GREAT and I am scheduled for follow up in a week.

Here's a tip for anyone planning a hospital stay in the future - bring your own pillows & blankets!  Those beds are tortuous.  I could not get comfortable all night long and was so fidgety that every time I would move, Jax would fall off the radar and in comes the nurse(s) to adjust the strap around my belly.  Once they got it back I was ready to flip sides from discomfort again and the process started all over again, hence my lack of sleep.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers and well-wishes.  And hey guess what?  I recruited another awesome Nestie out of the deal :-)

  • I am so glad to hear all is well!!!
  • Glad both you and Jax are home and healthy!  Now you rest up for the next few months and keep Jax cookin.

I second your tip on pillows and blankets.  I spend way too much time on those bed during my twin pregnancy, not comfy at all.
