warning--- this involves BR talk & is sad. Sometimes i'm blown away by the power of nestie love & just wanted to share.
There is a nestie on the GP (she's actually local but doesn't post here) who was involved in a car accident at I believe 23-24wks. She was pregnant with twins after a long battle of infertility. The accident wasn't her fault & caused her to be admitted to the hospital on strick bedrest because of some complications in an effort to keep them inside of her to grow. At approx 29wks the babies (a girl & boy) were born via c-section. Her baby girl had some complications & passing away few days later. The baby boy is understandably still in the hospital but is getting stronger every day.
Some of the GP/GPM nesties started a fund for her & her family and it's over $800 now!! It gives me chills every time I get an update on the fund status. I obviously cannot even begin to imagine what she's going thru & money won't solve the heartbrake, but the sense of community is amazing.
I remember last year there was a California nestie who passed away while giving birth & I remember the nestie love then... it circulated to every single board.
i'm just saying that I think it's just amazing how something as simple as a internet message board can become such a tight community. I mean look at us, some of us have "known" each other for 2,3, 4+ years. Who would have thought back in the day that would happen.
ok back to your regulary scheduled program. I just had to share :-)
