Procrastination Station, What's Your...

Okay, I have nothing that rhymes with Station that makes sense. Nation? Relation? Creation? yeah. No go.

But I am procrastinating. Against doing the dishes. BECAUSE I HATE TO DO THE DISHES! I want a 10 year old child so they can do it themselves. And since the child will have DH's DNA, they will figure out just about any way to make a buck. I tried to get DH to help me. But in doing so, I made him laugh so hard, I nearly made him shoot cranberry juice out his nose. And then he wouldn't help me. So now I have to do them all myself. And I don't wanna. I could leave them until tomorrow, but then I'll still have to do them, just tomorrow. When they're gross and crusty.

So yeah. Dishes. Sigh...

Re: Procrastination Station, What's Your...

  • Motivation? :)

I hope the dishes are done by this point and you don't have to dread them anymore!

  • Man, I HATE doing dishes with a passion. Yuck, yuck, yuck. We actually have a dishwasher in this house, but it's about 100 years old and although it technically works, as in, it runs, it doesn't get anything clean. It's covered under our home warranty, but I fear if we call about it they'll be like, "well it runs. What's the problem?" and take our $55.

  • I do all the cooking, DH does all the cleaning.  If he were to stop, he'd stop getting fed.

I HATE doing dishes and when I lived in an apartment, I invested in a portable dishwasher because I wasn't going to do them by hand!

  • I procrastinated doing my on-line traffic school.  The due date was 5/9/11 and I didn't start it until 5/9/11.  I was done by 9:30 pm, it sucked!

Oh, I did that last time.  Had to take a day off work to do traffic school.  Guess I'd better get started.  I have like 30 days.
  • I don't mind doing dishes, but I HATE folding laundry and putting it away. I'll wash it/dry it all day long, but I would prefer to pull it out of the laundry and throw it in the basket.

It's so bad, that when I actually do put my clothes away I can't ever find them. I look in the laundry baskets (where it's folded, just not put away) and then in the dryer, and then in the hamper. I never think to check my drawers!

  • Wait, why did DH laugh at your suggestion that he help you? Mine can barely reach the faucet and he helps me. I think your perfectly abled DH can help you. We have a dishwasher, too, but it also sucks. It's really the hard water here in SJ that's the problem. We've gone through 3 coffeemakers and one ruined very nice tea kettle in less than a year from it. Angry
  • I totally hate doing dishes, that and laundry...oh yea and cleaning in general ;-) Anyhow, it really sucks. Just thought I'd add to the problem rather than coming up with a solution.

    Btw...I have a 12 year old and she doesn't do dishes :(
