Share your "lack of common sense" stories here
After repeatedly telling a coworker step by step instructions to make her OE benefit changes, she just came to let me know that she couldn't get in to the phone system to make said OE benefit changes. Odd, because if you already have benefits, there is no reason why you can't get in. So I asked her if when she called the enrollment line if she logged in using her SSN and PIN and she said no, she didn't. Well lady, that's why you couldn't get in to the phone system. We have gone over this atleast 4 times this week and I have only been here 2 days so what's that tell you?!

Re: Share your "lack of common sense" stories here
Mine is a coworker story too, although he's a nice guy--just really lacking common sense.
We were trying to put new film into the laminator at the school. It was a new machine, so we were following the "directions" (really, just a picture printed on cardboard. worse than Ikea directions). It was also HOT because we had just turned it off, and yes, you're supposed to wait until it's cooled, but we needed things laminated. I told him the rollers were hot (as in 300 degrees, hot) so he wouldn't touch them. Guess what he did. Yes. He touched them.
I changed the laminating film alone after that.
