Re: New to everything....would like some friends..
Welcome to Kansas City! I have to admit that Liberty is probably the most... "happening' of the northland. Lots of restaurants and shops. Are you reading anything interesting? I love books myself! I'm reading The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran. It is historical fiction which is my favorite. I am most likely going to read The Help next. I have heard nothing but awesome things about it. If you are as crazy about books as I am then you should check out goodreads.com. It has soo many books on there and you can see what other people say about them and all that kind of fun! Hope you like Kansas City! I believe it can be rather boring at times lol
Hi Jesse! I'm Molly. I grew up in KC, and now i live in Overland Park, which is a suburb about 30 minutes from KC, with my FI. We have been living together for a little over a year, and we are getting married on July 17. We just got a dog from Wayside Waifs a couple months ago, and we like to take her to the park and on walks around the neighborhood. I am 22 years old and an graduating from college next semester, my FI is 26 and he works as a busser at AMC fork and screen. I hope you are liking Liberty.. it is a cool little town! I used to go to William Jewell which is in Liberty... there are lots of cute little restaurants down there! If you like to shop you should check out Zona Rosa on Barry Road and ! 29... lots of cool stores there! I am looking forward to getting to know someone else in the KC area! Welcome to the area!
We are fairly new to KC northland as well. We've bought a house in Gladstone (about 10 minutes south of Liberty) last fall. I have 2 kids, but they aren't in school yet so I've found it difficult to meet people. I work from home as an editor and don't have a chance to get out much!
We have been attending a church in Liberty for about 4 months now and love it. It's Desperation Church (if you are interested in looking at others).
I hope you find it easy to meet people. We are hoping that we can find a small group to participate in so that we can start building friendships.
