Wildflower Mix

Has anyone used any wildflower mixes before? Did you have any luck? I used the Burpee Wildflowers Rainbow Mix all along the side of my house. It conains Calendula, Cornflower, Comos, Crimson Clover, Baby's Breath and Floriosa Daisies.

How long do you think it'll take to start showing up? I'm very new to gardening and don't have much of a green thumb.

Re: Wildflower Mix

  • That was DH and I's first gardening attempt. It was horrid! We put it in our front garden before we got married, came back from our honeymoon, and it was about 3' tall. There were plenty of wildflowers, but a ton of grasses too. I'm hoping you have better luck.
I like salad bar, I like Despicable Me, tosh 2.0, I like Connect 4, Freedom of Speech, David Fincher, sidewalk, I like 1-800-SLIM, yo mama jokes, strawberry, Wilmer Valmavelma, Leon J. Panetta, ice skating for fun, not to save life. Cheese. Is for mouse. Are you Mick Mouse? WHY DON'T YOU GET IN YOUR SPACESHIP LIKE MICK MOUSE?

  • Oh gosh. Well, at least it will look more intentional than our current weed garden. :)
  • I would not use their wildflower mix!  Mixes that aren't designed for specific areas of the country can often have invasive plants in them (some plants are invasive in certain areas and not in others) and have a lot of filler grass.  If you want a wildflower mix try to find a local nursery or for an even better success rate plant native plants/plugs individually so the birds can't eat all of your scattered seeds.
