Green parade ideas
I'm on my small town's July 4th parade committee. Our theme is green/environmental this year, and I'm looking for ideas. We're asking residents with hybrid vehicles to drive in the parade, and are asking local environmental groups to submit a float (along with the typical participants). I'm negotiating with Segway to be in the parade and provide demonstrations during the town field events that follow.
Any suggestions for additional ways to incorporate the theme, or good float ideas I can give to potential participants? Also, what are some parade "norms" that we should avoid, to be greener? TIA!
