Did everyone have a nice weekend?

The weather was gorgeous, no?

MrShoe and I survived our time away from N.  She had a blast and so did we.  I was able to catch a movie with my bestie (Water for Elephants...so good), eat some boiled crawfish and have a semi-date with the H.  We are nerds and our idea of a date is to stroll around Whole Foods for an hour.  We had a late dinner at Coyote Blues and actually TALKED!  It was really nice and definitely reminded me why I love him so darn much.

Today I cleaned N's room while she was gone.  She has so much clothes that doesn't fit anymore and I was able to go through a lot of it.  Toys too.  We played outside when she got home, she took a nap and MrShoe grilled pizza for dinner.  Awesome day for sure.

  • Nice!  We've had a busy few days.  Thursday my oldest niece graduated from high school Crying so we came down for that.  Then Friday, we went to Whole Foods (we're nerds too!), Guitar Center (twice), Clegg's (somebody was off that day, but we did talk to W), Jim Stone, the Refinery and had a late lunch at South of Philly (love!).  Then headed home.

Saturday we just hung out during the day, went price toilets around town (the excitement of home ownership!) and that evening went to a birthday party.

Sunday we had lunch out then did a mini renovation in our master half bath.  We painted the walls and trim, took out the existing flooring and put in new flooring.  It made SUCH a difference, it's great looking!  Then last night we had steaks, twice baked potatoes and fresh green beans.  Yum!

We too had a busy weekend. John had to work the time, but did take Saturday night off. I replaced all the pipes in our bathroom sink and added a stopper and the strap so the stopper will work! I also saved a pair of shorts that had some serious strawberry stains, and made chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Martha Stewart and Tom Villa rolled into one. Sunday I watched my friend's 3 year old then cleaned up at home oh and took a nap. Great weekend

  • i had a busy weekend too.  kiara is having get togethers with friends before leaving for the summer to visit her dad.  saturday was full of swimming and sleepovers.  the hubby left for out of town work for 2 weeks.  so he had to say his goodbyes sunday morning.  then on sunday, kiara had her gymnastic show to close out the season  and a birthday party.

i'm looking forward to some down time, but will miss kiara during the summer.
