International Moving companies?

Anyone have any recommendations?

I don't have any furniture to move . . . Just clothes and "things." I basically want someone to show up to my house in Amsterdam, pack my stuff in boxes, and ship it (air, not boat) to my house in the US. I'm not paying for it, so cost isn't really a huge consideration. Convenience is.

Or is there anyone I should avoid? I'd be grateful for any advice.

Re: International Moving companies?

  • We used Graebel.  They were great.  They came to our house in the US and packed up everything we wanted shipped.  Our stuff was air shipped in a pod and delivered here no problem.
  • Ours was organized by Prudential/Pricoa, but I don't know the specific companies they worked with.  Prudential/Pricoa was awesome to work with though.

  • We used Robinsons but we had a lot. Have you looked into something like UpakWeship?

  • we and some friends of ours used Stephens International.
  • Saan (www.saan.nl) is supposedly the best moving company in the Netherlands. They do international as well, arrange everything, can also do packing and such if you'd like. They'll coordinate with a company in the US.

They actually have the Royal status, which is a title they can only get if they adhere to some pretty darned strict quality guidelines.
