I forgot to post last week about my 16 week appt! It went really well. I still have not really gained weight - I gained back the 2lbs I was down at my 12 week appt so I'm now the same as I was at my 8 week appt (though I might add that I was wearing jeans to my 16 week and yoga pants to the wer week).
We got to hear LO's heartbeat and it was fantastic! The baby was moving around a TON and we heard lots of kicks. The HR was 144 at first but quickly went to 130-something and stayed there (it was 132 at my u/s at 12 weeks).
We scheduled our anatomy scan for June 3rd!! If I ever get a good bump I will take a picture and post for votes...I still feel like it is a boy, but who knows!
On Saturday we got our nursery furniture! We got a good deal on a beautiful crib:

We got two three-drawer dressers that coordinate, and a glider - it should all be in in August!
Re: BR AW
Assuming baby cooperates and shows us the goods on June 3rd we will find out. I always wanted to be team green til I found out I was pregnant...now I really want to know :-) Don't ask me why, I just do. A part of me is sad that I won't have that "it's a boy/girl" moment when I push the kid out, but DH really wants to know and I think it will be nice to find out ahead of time now that I'm in the situation first-hand.
I've heard that even finding out during the ultrasound is still a "surprise." Not sure if it would really be the same type of surprise.
I'd love to be team green one day, but not sure my OCD and type A personality would allow for it.
I can't wait to see it all set up!

Oooh, I LOVE that furniture!
I am OCD (seriously) and type A, and I didn't want to know. I know, weird, right? It is possible.

Another fan of the furniture! Where'd you find it?
Also OCD type A planner here.....the only way I'd be willing to go team green is if we have 3 kids and we already have a boy and a girl. That way we have all the stuff already and I don't feel like I'll need to plan. As much as I'd like to say I'll get gender-neutral stuff, I probably won't be able to contain myself if/when we find out what baby #1 is.
I thought finding out at the anatomy scan was great! It was still a very emotional and special moment for DH and I, plus I have loved being able to call her a her.
Thanks! We went to a local place called Baby Furniture Warehouse - it is like a mile from our house. The crib is made by Munire and I understand the color is not being made any more (something about the birch being more expensive allegedly) and the dressers coordinate but are from Pali - both get decent ratings in Baby Bargains, and the crib is super well made and pretty. We are so excited :-)
I'm feeling boy too!
Love the furniture!
I love this post! Hearing the heartbeat never gets old! Have you felt any movement yet?
I love your crib, it's beautiful!
