Happy 5 months (a day late) Allison!!!

I can't believe the girls are 5 months already! How's everything going for you guys?

Re: Happy 5 months (a day late) Allison!!!

  • Happy 5 months to Taline too!!! Party!!!

I can't believe how fast time flies! Things are going really well on our end.

Allison is chatting up a storm, she hasn't stopped for almost 2 weeks! LOL. She's getting close to sitting up on her own without assistance, but it'll probably be another month or so before she can really do it. She's also pulling herself to a standing position from sitting...as long as she holds our hands and is facing us, she's got the confidence to do it. She hates sitting now, so one of us is always

We started on rice cereal couple weeks ago, but the whole idea of a spoon is weird to her, so we're easing into it slowly. We've got to keep an extra close eye on her now because she's putting anything she can get her hands on into her mouth. lol And it looks like her first tooth is cutting through on the left side. It's so hard to see her crying in pain. :-(

So tell me...what's Taline up to?!?!!?!?!

  • and btw...WHAT A CUTIE !!! Taline is beautiful!
  • Ooo how exciting! We're waiting until Nov 1st to start her on solids so I'm excited to see how she does! We tried a teeny bit of water in a cup and she seemed to take to that really well. She watches everyone eating and drinking really closely now. She seems fascinated by the process.

Taline's also chatting up a storm! She loves talking either really quiet or really loud. The quiet voice is my favorite though, it's as if she's trying to whisper a secret to you. Taline LOVES to stand. She usually starts whining if you have her sitting or lying down until you pull her up and let her stand up tall, cute but so dang tiring trying to hold her up all the time!

I really hope she's not teething and I haven't seen anything in her mouth that looks like a tooth popping out. She is doing the whole drooling and sucking on everything thing though so who knows.

She also used to sleep like a champ but she just went downhill and started waking up more and more. Right now she's waking up like 3-4 times a night, but she doesn't seem to care if she eats at all during the night. So the benefit is she screams and we pop the pacifier in and she passes out with no problem but I still get up several times to do it which sucks, but I'm very grateful not to have to sit up for 10-15 minutes to feed her anymore at 5am.

  • Oh and we're sooo jealous of Allison's gorgeous hair!!! Miss baldy is finally getting some fuzz going but I'm over the hairless look haha.
  • LOL. thanks! She does have a full head of hair....kinda. It's beautiful and curly on top, but the back and sides are thinning some. I say we're both going to be bald by the holidays! (I'm still losing hair) When she's frustrated or in pain(darn tooth!) she grabs her hair in the back and pulls on it. We're trying really hard to stop her from doing it and it has gotten better.

I'm sorry she's waking in the night. We went through that with Allison about a month and a half ago, and it lasted about it two weeks. Then it just stopped. I hope it's short lived for Taline too! I know I'm really lucky to have a good night sleeper. She's up to about 9 - 10 hours at night. We do have an occasional fussy night, but [thankfully] they are few and far between. The downside to a full night sleeper? She only cat naps during the day. She gets 10 - 20 minutes here and there, which can make it difficult to get things done during the day. So I send her to bed at 10 with DH and I do chores for another hour or two at night. It's weird, but somehow it works - sometimes
