Weekend fun!

Fun things that happened this weekend:

1. I got my campfire and hot dog on Friday night!

2. Matt told me he loves me. *happy dance* (He better not be checking up on me on the Nest, lol)

3. The little dude called me "Gocky" - 2 yr old speak for Jacki (my youngest sister called me "Gacky" when she was his age). So cute! This is the first time he's tried to call me anything, so that was cool.

4. I turned my storage area into an office/library/crafty area and got my storage stuff condensed to fit in my one pantry/closet thing which was not really being used as a pantry. Yay!

Your turn! :)

Re: Weekend fun!

  • Your weekend sounds a heck of a lot better than mine! Friday night we went to a wedding but never took pictures of my slim self do my cute peanut. Sat. I woke up with Caroline's cold and she had regressed. We're both pretty sick now :/
  • **singsong** Jacki and Matt up in a tree...

Abrahm is either going through a growth spurt or teething or both. He was cranky, wouldn't sleep, and only wanted to nurse. I gave in on Sunday and let him sleep on me for two hours. I got to catch up on TV though! Finally I got to see the drunk Ron Swanson dance.

  • I spent the entire weekend in sweatpants on the couch either napping or dealing with being nauseated.  Good times.

  • Yay!  Good BF!  Sounds like an awesome weekend Jacki!

Mine was pretty tame but very restorative.  Matt's in Sweden so it was just me.  Had a long leisurely lunch with my aunt and cousin on Saturday, watched lots of romantic comedies, sewed, went for walks, read a book, caught up on phone calls, and watched the Red Sox.  I also wrote a risk-analysis memo for Matt on TTC next fall/winter vs. later.  I know.  I'm such a dork.  But he's been having a hard time keeping track of all the factors and I know he'll appreciate that I put it all in writing and analyzed the weights of the different risks.  Gah, we are a dorky household.  Stick out tongue

  • Gah, I love hearing about new love- Jacki, I'm totally living vicariously through you!

Had a great weekend w/ FIL in town, but it totally wore me out! Discovered the joy of Ma's Donuts (sorry, Brianne!), and a new authentic Mexican style place for brunch, made a huge pitcher of cucumber-mint auga fresca, walked all over Newport and lounged. Thank goodness this next week has NOTHING on the calendar!

  • Oh man, I hope everybody's feeling better soon!! :(

I still need to catch up on Parks & Rec, have a feeling drunk Ron Swanson should not be missed!

  • This was a great weekend for me too! We had a college friend from NY and her husband stay with us for the weekend. We tried out Hug's Italian restaurant in Falmouth, went to the Comedy Connection, enjoyed strawberry rhubarb ice cream at Toots, and saw Bridesmaids (so freakin funny!) AND best of all, my friend told me she is 3 weeks pregnant! I am thrilled because all of my other friends are years away from getting on the baby train, so it will be fun getting to gloat and gripe with someone in the same boat.

  • Great weekend here too! Eli's b-day party was a huge success. He had so much fun and it was great to see family and friends. Have to admit I got a little choked up when everyone was singing happy birthday to him and he just looked all around with this look of blissful amazement.

And on Sunday we went to the circus in Boston!  It was awesome!  We had so much fun despite the yucky weather...

  • Friday night and Saturday I was pretty much doing what Glitzy was doing. fun, fun LOL

Sunday I felt better, and we had to go to DH's family camp where he helped put the dock in. We told his family about the pregnancy this weekend! We had 3 nested Christmas boxes (since our due date is 12/20), and had a pic of the sonogram on the bottom with "Baby ----, due 12/20/11. His family was so excited (this will be their first grandchild)! Pregnancy and baby stuff was pretty much the topic of conversation for the rest of the day....which was awesome since it's been about 5 weeks of not really talking to anyone about it (other than my family since two weeks ago).

Hee hee, happy to help! :) It's cool, I've got a pretty good sense that all these firsts are my last firsts, if that makes sense, and that definitely makes them even more special. I'm such a sap, lol.

BTW, that donut picture had me ready to abandon my "biggest loser at work" efforts this week. I am still craving a chocolate cruller. Dunked in coffee. Mmmmm.
