Swim Lessons

Does anyone know of someone that will do private swim lessons?  My ILs have a pool and we were looking into having someone come to the house once a week during the summer to do lessons with the kids (DD age 3.5, and nephews ages 2 and 15 months).  But I'm not sure where to begin looking.  A quick google search came up with swim schools or private swim coaches (for competitive swimmers).  Any suggestions?

Re: Swim Lessons

  • talk to your local YMCA. some of the life guards or teachers there might be willing to do some side line work.

  • Ditto pp. Lifeguards at a local pool may do lessons on the side. When I was a guard, some of us did.

  • Can I just call random pools in the area and ask if their lifeguards do lessons on the side?  Or would that be frowned upon?

We belong to the Y, but our gym doesn't have a pool.
