How was the weekend?
I was in Newport, RI for a bachelorette party. Newport was a little nippy but was absolutely lovely and I would highly recommend it. We rented a big house which was super adorable and on Sat night, ran into the preppiest bach party made up of some really cool, mostly married dudes just a few doors down from our house. It was great since our party was mostly engaged or married gals and it was totally fun. They were partying a few houses down so we crashed their party and ended up drinking with them for hours. Seriously one of the most fun I've had a bach party in forever. I'm exhausted right now, but it was great to get away.

Friday night we had a 30th birthday party. It was great seeing some folks we haven't seen in a while and it was delightful to not be in pajamas immediately after work like every other day. I had a prenatal massage on Saturday but it wasn't with my regular lady so I was disappointed. Later had a facial which was glorious at the time but my skin is a teeny bit raw from it. Yesterday DH and I spent some time cleaning while watching the Phils screw the pooch in Atlanta.
That does sound like fun, Jewels!
Jess - I am dying to get a facial, but I am so scared my face with blow-up afterwards!
I hosted book club Friday night, which was a lot of fun...we talked about the book for about 10 minutes, haha. I drank lots of wine since I didn't have to drive anywhere. DH and I have been eating the leftover apps all weekend.
Saturday, we did a ton of yard work. We tried to go car shopping, but neglected to check showroom hours so everything was closed. Major fail on our part. Hope to go this week and maybe buy something! I am excited to get rid of DH's hoopty.
Sunday DH left for a work trip and I went to a family dinner.
I've heard Newport is awesome, Jewels!
We baptized our baby this weekend. It was so nice. (Unfortunately I handed my camera off to someone who took crappy pix, so now I'm on the hunt for some non blurry pictures. ) The baby was soooo good in church and at the party. She looked so pretty in her dress. It was so nice to celebrate with our families.
Yeah, if you are ever looking for a getaway Newport is fabulous! I've never been to Nantucket or Cape Cod, but I imagine it to be somewhat like that. The restaurants are great and the nightlife even in mid-May was insane. But it's a sleepy little town with pretty shops and cobblestone streets. It seems like there's something for everyone.
Sounds like it was an exciting weekend - birthdays and baptisms.
LD - you need to post a photo of the babe in her dress once you find good pics.
