I'd like to replace my son's old plastic sandwich boxes with a safer material, and I'd like to stop using plastic baggies for side items (including the Gladware which is supposed to be reusable but his teachers keep throwing away).
What's your favorite sandwich and other snack containers?? I saw the Fit & Fresh sandwich pod, but am wondering if the ice pack will make the sandwich soggy as it thaws?
Re: Waste free lunchbox
Have you looked at lunchboxes from here?
I'm looking for somehing similar in stainless steel to bring home leftovers from restaurants, but so far can't find one made in USA.

If I had kids, I'd get this one. Its kind of expensive, but I love it!
The Lunch boxes are great!...but did you see the Bento Boxes that could accompany the lunch box that have insulation to keep the food cool? love that!

Thanks for the tip, this is exactly what I have been looking for.
I have the Planet Box for my son and we love it! So easy to clean because it's all one piece and he can open it unlike a lot of the other lunchboxes.
