Being the "old married woman".
A lot of my sorority sisters still live in town and with the exception of one who is married and another with a baby on the way/engaged, I am the "old married lady", the rest of them are single and lovin it. They always want to go out and I can't keep up with them anymore. 10pm is my bedtime.
Hmmm..... I don't know. I guess doing things I enjoy like going to lots of concerts, baseball games, random trips here and there, enjoying spending $ on good food and wine.
eta: i guess i am known for working hard to be able to do the things that make me happy
a lot of my friends complain about wanting to do all sorts of things but don't really do them. i don't mind working because it allows a lot of my dreams to become reality.

Being honest and not sugar coating. They know if they want the true answer on something, they'll ask me (i.e. does this outfit look okay or is this a dumb idea?)
Being good at handling difficult conversations and situations, including conflict.
My friends call it "using their PocketGallo" when they stand up to someone or advocate for themselves in a difficult situation.

And it's not just my friends... I have friends telling their friends to contact me with pet training/medicinal questions. Seriously. My friends mom and brother have both contacted me this week about their family dog, FIL called yesterday just to ask a question abuot his dog ...then he asked how the pregnancy was going. lol, ridiculous.
ETA: ALSO, ever since we fostered the mom and her litter, I have friends and friends of friends contacting me when they're getting rid of their pet to see if I'll take it. Uhm, no, you dont get to pawn your pet off on me - when my house is already full and I have a baby on the way - so you feel less guilty about giving it up because you're not giving it to a rescue/shelter.

Mar, it's like be a doctor/nurse/IT person/car mechanic! Everyone asks Nick about their computers and everyone asks my dad about their cars and we go to Nick's step mom (nurse). lol
I dont mind my friends coming to me with questions, like when you ladies ask I'm more than happy to help. But when it's friends of friends, it's a bit much. And then when it got down to friends of friends asking me to take their pets... I was ready to throat punch people.

Baker/crafter/graphic designer. Pretty much if it involves being creative they call me for it. I've designed invitations (wedding and baby shower), helped put up vinal murals that came in wrong, always bring desserts if i need to bring a dish to pass, made quilts, been a photographer for a wedding last min for someone (never ever doing that one again-especially without a DSLR). OO and wedding planning, Since I was the first to get married people came to me about stuff.
Most of the time I don't mind it, but sometimes people expect me to be able to do things I have no training in (wedding photography).
