Hair salon recs for updo from an out-of-towner?
One of my BFF's lives in Portland and is getting married in October. I am in the wedding and am coming from the midwest, so I am unfamiliar with the area. She has a stylist who is coming to her house to do her hair, but the woman hasn't been hired to do the bridesmaids' hair, so I am looking for recs for a hair salon for an updo. I don't want anything severe and would like a more modern place with talented people who will listen to what I'd like. I'm very picky about this sort of stuff! Any suggestions? Thank you! I will likely be staying with friends in the Lake Oswego area.

My bridesmaids and I had our hair done at Dosha. They have a location in Bridgeport which is close to Lake Oswego. I have to be honest... our hair looked awesome.

I personally would stay away from Dosha, I don't know anyone that has had a positive experience there.
I love Rumi Simone Salon, it's in Lake Oswego and my friend Mindy does makeup there. It's a very hip, trendy place, you won't get stuck with "old lady updo", lol. Plus they serve champagne and wine while you're getting your hair done...aaahhhh...

We used Robert's of Portland for my wedding, and all the hair looked great. It's in SW Portland and could be quite convenient depending on what area of LO you're in.
I avoid Dosha b/c they treat their stylists so poorly.
