For those of you who did TTD, did your husband participate as well? Or was it just you?
We thought about doing it, but it was going to cost so much plus we'd have to rent the tux again, get my hair and makeup done, etc.
I am still really angry with myself for not saying yes when our photographer asked if we wanted to go do a quick shoot with just me and Chris before we joined the cocktail hour...so that's why we really considered doing it together. I did bridal portraits a month or so before the wedding, so I have plenty of just me.
Anyhow, obviously I can't fit into my dress anymore at this point, but really just curious...
Re: TTD Question
Ken was in my TTD, he dressed casual and was only in a few pics. Here is the link if you want to check them out (plus I am an AW): www.addikayphotography.com (click on client proofs, password: christie)
And I didn't really "trash" my dress at all, I think it might be cleaner now than after the wedding day.
I didn't trash my dress either. We had a shoot with our photog 2 days after the wedding and called it a "rock the dress" shoot. Fortunately, Chavis still had his tux. I did my own hair and makeup. We were staying at a hotel on the beach and got up super early and did a sunrise shoot. Sine we already had so many lovey dovey serious pics we just wanted to be goofy and show our fun side, so we had bubbles, silly glasses, and bubble gum. I'll send you the link if you want to check it out.
I think since you already did a bridal shoot, you should include your hubby if you do a RTD/TTD session. I don't think he needs a tux by any means. I've seen some cool ones with silly string, paint, jumping in the pool (if you dare). I think it's a great way to show your personalities. Let us know what you decide!

Christie, those are beautiful! I love the idea of having your husband dress casually...I never would've thought of that, but it turned out really nice!
I have to ask...wasn't the water freezing???
Megan & Chris
Brooke - that sounds like a ton of fun! I bet you guys had a blast! Smart to have done it while Chavis still had the tux! Wish I'd have thought of that!
I'm not actually considering doing it anymore. I definitely couldn't get my dress zipped right now, and by the time I could fit into it again (hopefully!), we'll be spending money on pictures of someone else
And, yes, I'd love to see the pictures if you want to share! No worries if you'd rather not, though.
(Oh, by the way, I would never dare to jump in a pool in my dress...I love it WAY too much!!!)

I've thought about it a few times, but never went throgh with it. I had only seen them done where the dress literally gets trashed and there was NO way I was doing that. I didn't realize you could just do wild make-up or props or really whatever you wanted.
Too late for that now though, I'm certain I missed my chance on doing this.
It was a chilly day but for the most part I wasn't cold until I put my feet in the water. After that I couldn't feel them at all, but those were the last shots of the day.
Trying to find some inspiration for TTD photos before we did ours I find that most photographers do not set out to actually trash the dress. I think a lot of photographers see it as giving brides to wear the most expensive garment they will ever own one more time and to get some cool more fun shots than on the wedding day. Any image search will show pictures of brides with paint or setting their dress on fire, but I think a majority of photogs take more artistic shots and that is a just a more relaxed photo shoot than the wedding day. I really think the change needs to be made to calling them Rock the Dress sessions more than Trash the Dress.
SHARE THE LINK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Inquiring minds want to see it! ;-)
I was thinking the same thing!! I can't believe I didn't even know that she did a TTD/RTD!!
Oh, haha! I sent it to her on FB because I thought you guys had seen it before...my bad!
