Kiz,
I remember seeing pictures of your new kitchen (which I love!) We are actually starting to plan our kitchen remodel and we have a very similar style to yours. I was wondering if you could tell me where you got your floor tile. Or if you would be willing to share where you got any of your things. We are planning on doing white cabinets and a green subway tile back splash as well. We are just starting out, so we are very new to all of this and could use any help/advice we can get.
I really appreciate it!! If you would rather email me you can do that too!

Thanks so much!!
Re: **Kiz**
Hola!
I'm starting to wonder if our kitchen will ever be 100% done, haha. :-)
Here is the skinny...
Floor tile: We got it at Daltile. The line is Fabrique and the color is Brun Linen. We snagged a great deal since DH and I are in the design biz so I have no idea how much it is normally. We use 12" x 24" tiles set in a subway pattern.
Backsplash: We got it at the Kate-Lo clearance room in Plymouth. Olympia makes it, the line is Cristallo, and I believe the color is seaweed. It was a great deal since it was in the clearance room.
Counters: Black granite in color Absolute Black from Twin City Tile & Marble. The whole slab was $50!!! Installation and cutting was about $900. http://www.tctm.com/sale.htm
Cabinets: The frames were existing. We painted them white with BM Satin Impervo, color White. The doors, drawers, slides, hinges etc. were done by Cabinets by Dan in Savage. I think they did a decent job for the price. I can't rave about them, but I can't rag on them either. http://www.cabinetsbydan.com/
Appliances: Our over-the-stove microwave/vent and fridge were both bought at the Warner's Stellian "Extreme Warehouse Sale" (@ different times but they ended up matching.) We got a super awesome deal on both pieces.
Patio door: Marvin Integrity from the Cannon Recovery building materials outlet. The place is MASSIVE so you should go with a fairly good idea of what you need. They probably won't have exactly what you want, but most likely something close for a really good deal. They have e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!!
Faucets: From faucetdirect.com. Two thumbs way up. We got our main faucet (retails for $475) and our filtered water mini faucet (retails for $200) for just over $300 for BOTH. Sa-weet.
Paint: Not done yet but it will be Sherwin Williams. Our college classmate works for them and is going to hook us up. I love good deals! :-)
I think that covers it. It's taken awhiiiiiiiile, but we have gotten really good deals on just about everything so it's worth it.
There are lots of tile show rooms near each other just off of 494 between hwy 12 and 55. Click here for map.
Good luck! :-)
Thank you soo much for all the info! I really appreciate it! Wow, it sounds like you got a lot of really good deals! That is awesome!
We went on the St Louis Park Home Remodeling tour a few weeks ago and got more inspired to start moving on our kitchen. It was the plan to start right after we moved in, but we moved in Oct. 2008. Whoops! But better late then never. I just hope this time we do actually get working on it!
Thanks again! I may have more questions later, but this is definitely helpful to give us some more ideas.
Sweet! There was a picture in the brochure that pushed us to FINALLLLLY decided on backsplash tile. :-) White cabinets, dark counters, and sage-y green subway tile.
FUN FUN!!
Let me know how it goes!! :-)
I'm mostly a lurker, but THIS sounds gorgeous! Could you post a picture?!
