I think we're down to two names: Molly May and Dylan May. Brian likes them both, but I think prefers Molly May. In looking them all up again, I just learned that both Molly and May are diminutive of Mary. Is that obvious?
Re: is this obvious?
LOVE LOVE LOVE Molly. Classic, simple & pretty!
and to answer your question, no, I don't think it's obvious

My mom's first and middle names both mean "lily." You'd never know it! Likewise, I don't think that either Molly nor May have an obvious connection to the original name Mary.
Depending on the name site, you'll get different etymologies for the name May. While some credit it as a diminutive of Mary, others say it is the diminutive of Margaret, and still others give the origin of the name May as being from the month, which was named after Maia, the Greek goddess of spring.
If you like a name, be it Molly May or Dylan May or another, then that is all that matters!
