My dad starts chemo on Tuesday
I don't know whats worse- before when I thought he wouldn't fight the cancer, or now knowing that he is going to be sicker than ever for 8 weeks of chemo.
It seems as though he has pancreatic cancer that has spread to 3 main locations. It bothers me that the docotor seems not to know FOR SURE that it's pancreatic.?
So my stomach as been in knots for most of the evening. Before I talked to my dad about his doctor's visit I learned that one of my bother's boxers (dog, not underwear) died today. She was just a puppy. She ate some ant poisoning and the vet said there was nothing he could do. I tell you, when it rains it POURS!
Thanks for letting me vent. Vent over.

Re: My dad starts chemo on Tuesday
I'm sorry things are so tough I hope they can narrow down where the cancer was. I have heard of it being hard to pinpoint the original location once it's spread somewhere else...it's got be frustrating not knowing what exactly is going on.
And the poor puppy...:( Here's hoping for some good news very soon.
I'm SO SO sorry Leah. I went through all this w/my dad. Know that you can email or call me anytime - my email is aubie96@yahoo.com
I'm here for ya honey.
I'll keep you, your dad and family in my prayers right now.
I am sorry to hear about the puppy too.

I'm sorry things are so rough for you right now.
To clear your mind, my mom had to have chemo and she didn't have any negative side effects. She was just the opposite of sick, she was pretty antsy and hyper, LOL. So try to keep a positive attitude and try to rub that off on your dad. I know exactly how you feel, you guys will be in my prayers.
Yes, he will have treatment in Montgomery. Thanks for the offer! You are so kind.
Anytime. Just let me know if there is anything I can do!!!!
