Morning

We got news yesterday that Ryley's not doing too well.  He spiked a fever on Friday night, so they took him to the hospital.  They're keeping him hydrated and he's on antibiotics, but on Monday the poor little guy started having severe abdominal pain.  So they were back to the hospital.  He was in again yesterday and they stayed overnight.  No news yet today, but it's not looking good.  Any thoughts or prayers or whatever you can send his way are, as always, appreciated.

Tonight we have baseball, so I really hope the rain lets up, because that would be sort of miserable.  Or, I hope it rains WAY harder and turns into thunder so the game is canceled.  That would be ok too.

How is everyone today?

Re: Morning

  • Our District Manager is doing a final sweep of our store before the president of the company visits next week, so we've been scrambling to make sure everything is PERFECT (along with having great numbers... awesome.)

Vibes for Ryley, Raynes.  I am so sorry that Tim and Shannon have to go through this!

  • That is really sad about Ryley. I am hoping when it is his time that he goes peacefully and without pain.

Today I feel relaxed it's the first day in 2 weeks I haven't had anything to do during the day at all. So I'm going to sit in my PJ's and do more work for that project I'm working on with my dad. Tonight I'm going on to my last university class EVER. I am so glad to be done.

So all in all should be a good day.

  • Sad news about Ryley.  Sending lots of vibes to him and the family.  Poor little guy.

DH left again today for a 10 day work trip back to the US and then China.  I'll be glad when this one is over - he's been traveling so much but this should be it for a while.  At least for tonight I'll enjoy some quiet time and maybe go for a run.  Unless it rains because I'm a wimp like that.

  • So sad to hear about Ryley. Him and his family are in my prayers.

Noting to much going on here, working and then I'll probably get somethings packed for this weekend. Try to make sure I find time for a workout as well. Does anyone have plans for May Long?

  • So sorry to hear Riley isn't doing well.  Keeping them in my thoughts and prayers.

My morning isn't going too well =(

I set out for a 6 mile run this morning and at about 4.5 miles my foot must have clipped an uneven surface and I went down...hard.  The damage so far is a minor scrape on my hand (luckily I had pants and long sleeves on or it could have been much worse) and a sore knee, hip and shoulder.  The bruising will probably kick in shortly and I'm sure it's going to be lovely.  Best part was I was 1.5 miles from home!  So now I still have to run back.  I ended up averaging 9:21min/mile...go me!

Now I'm just heading out to work and I'm experiencing some..um..intestinal distress.  I really hope today starts getting better.

At least today I'm working at the hospital that my Grandpa's admitted at so I can go visit him and my Gram.

    Ugh...I'm on call tonight.

Sorry for all the negativity.  I'm positive today will get better!

  • Good morning, ladies.

So sorry to hear about Ryley, raynes.  T&P to him and his family.  Little guy has been through a lot.

I can't wait to leave for our camping/biking trip tomorrow - hoping it doesn't rain or snow on the way out to Utah.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • Poor Ryley. I'm sending vibes his way!

I had an uneventful yet busy evening last night. Today I already have a pork loin cooking in the crock pot for dinner. I plan on getting in another workout and doing a few things around the house.

  • I'm sorry to hear about Ryley--lots of thought and vibes his way.

Morning, everyone. Not much going on around here. My book club last night was canceled, so I just went home, had a small dinner, and then read the rest of the night. Today is another quiet day at work, probably a workout night once I'm home. Nothing special.

    Have a good one, ladies.

  • Poor Ryley. Lots of T&P's, and as MO said, when his time does come I truly hope it is peaceful.

RxBeth - yikes, that sounds extremely painful.

Not much going on here. Having a focus day at work so no coworkers come in with questions. I have way to much to get done.

Have a great day ladies, and those of you with rain (like me) praying for sun soon!

  • Sorry to hear about Ryley :( I feel so bad for the poor guy and his family.

Not much going on today.  H is so sweet and calls me every morning while he's living in CT to act as my alarm clock.  It wakes me up much better than my actual alarm, so I managed to get to work early today, yay!  Hopefully this means I can leave a little early too.  And if I get home from the gym before 7 or 7:30, I may try to run a quick errand and return some jeans I ordered that I didn't like.  I hate jeans!

And I really hate living alone - last year when H was gone, my sister lived with me for the summer, the year before that I was super busy studying for the Bar and planning the wedding, 3 years ago I went to live in D.C. for a job, and 4 years ago I still lived with roommates. But this year, it's just me.  Alone.  It's so sad coming home to an empty apartment every night Sad

I'm so sorry to hear about Riley.  I'll add him to my prayers.

I went to see a new therapist yesterday.  Right idea, really wrong person, so I'm back to looking for someone who specializes in infertility among other things.  I'm calling my doctor's office right now (don't know why I didn't in the first place) because I think they actually have people on staff.

Other than that, not much going on today.  I got some work to do that I don't really want to, so I need to dig deep for some motivation.

  • I feel so sad for Tim and Shannon and Ryley. I know this is not easy for any of them. I hope when his time comes he will go peaceful in his sleep with no pain. Please let us know when you get an update.

Last night was a good night. Tball was great and Jordan did great. Today is Jordan's first day out of school for the summer. Hope him and DH have a good day and a nap since DH has to work tonight. Tonight I have nothing planned so I am hoping for a HOT bath and some reading.

Sorry to hear that, Reba. :( I know you're calling your doctor's office, but I hope you don't mind me chiming in with The Women's Center as a place to explore, too, if need be. They're recommended a lot of the D.C. board; the H and I went to see a counselor there about our indecision about kids and we were happy; we're taking a break now, but will be going back. They have D.C. and VA offices, take insurance, and seem to be pretty flexible in terms of scheduling appointments and taking new clients.

  • T&P's for Tim, Shannon, Ryley and the girls. I can't imagine what they are going through right now. Please keep us updated Raynes and let us know if there is anything we can do for Tim and Shannon.

Last night was very uneventful. Today I have a ton of stuff to get done for our Business After Hours party next week. The caterer is driving me crazy and won't return any of my calls and I'm stressing about the flowers and swag bag items not getting here on time. This is almost like wedding planning all over again!

  • Lots of Ts and Ps headed to Ryley, Tim, and Shannon.

Ouch, Beth.  I hope you're ok.

And Reba, I hear you.  I have tons to get done today, but the dreary weather is sucking away my motivation.  That and making my hair look awful.  I have normally stick straight hair, but just the right amount of mist will poof it up into a frizzy wavy mess, a la bad 90s perm.

Anyway, not too much else on the agenda today besides working.  If I get through everything, I may watch the Bulls game tonight with friends.

  • So sorry to hear about Ryley! My T&P's will be with his family.

I just got a text that my Great Aunt is in Surgery for the 3rd time in 2 days. She had a triple bypass, had to go back into surgery yesterday for internal bleeding. This morning she had lungs full of blood so she is having a hard time.

Last night was uneventful. DH had a late softball game so I stayed home.

    Have a great day ladies!

  • Poor Riley. My heart goes out to them. It has to be so hard.

I don't seem to have any energy lately. I feel so lazy and lethargic. I think if I actually got up and worked out like I always plan to I would feel better. When I do get up, I do fee better. I just can't seem to get out of my o-so comfortable bed.

Currently I'm getting ready for a meeting. I hope this will be the we are going to purchase stuff time. I've done a lot of leg work and I would like the client to buy stuff. I'm running out of time if she wants me to fill her home/do some construction by her June move in date. :/

  • Lots of T&P to Ryley, Tim & Shannon. I just pray for peace for all of them. I can't imagine what they're going through.

Sweetpea - hugs to you about your aunt.

MO - congrats on being done! It's an insanely good feeling.

As for this rain, it can suck a big fat one. I need to get the dogs out and running again or they're going to drive me insane!

Last night I finally made some whoopie pies. I've been dreaming about them. Now I can't wait to go home and devour a few, but hopefully not all of them. Embarrassed Today is a conference at work, so my boss is going nutso, but she's leaving early. Thankfully, she'll also be late coming in tomorrow, so I can get some things done without her here. The students graduate this weekend, and then it should be smoothe sailing until August.

  • Poor Ryley. Lots of thoughts for Ryley, Tim, Shannon and the girls. I can't even imagine.

We enjoyed some of the sun last night and made burgers and grilled corn outside. I was juts about to get rid of our Cooking Light subscription, but it really came through for us this month.

It's sunny and nice again today. I see either  a walk/jog or bike ride in our future after work.

  • So sorry to hear about Ryley...how sad.

I am so over this weather. I haven't seen the sun since Saturday. Not to mention we had a tree cut down on Friday, and the logs are scattered all over our backyard. The guys can't come back until the weather clears up.

Tonight DH and I are assembling our new grill. Hopefully it does not take all night!

  • Morning ladies! so sorry to hear about Ryley. Lots of prayers for Ryley and family. Not much going on over here. I'm eating breakfast since we were up until 3:30 this morning so I'm exhausted today. I'll be home with the LO today enjoying what's left of my leave. It's going by way too fast. Hope you all have a good day.

  • It's been a rough week here. One of the towns in Alberta (only a few hours from my parents and in-laws place) is gone. A wildfire went through the town and destroyed nearly everything. I've been busy trying to get some things together to donate to the community. I'm praying for rain. We haven't had much this year so far and high winds aren't helping the fire(s).

Thank you, it's really bad right now. I think I read there are about 44 out of control wildfires right now in the province and out of that there are 8 in the Slave Lake area alone. I live about 4 hours from there but there is another one right by my parents house and my sisters place. They are on evacuation stand by, but my mom is so stubborn she thinks she'll be able to save the farm and wants to stay. It's stressful not knowing what will happen next.
