K has had a cough for about 3 weeks now. I have taken him to the doctor's twice (the first because it was dry and unproductive, the second was his 15 month checkup) and it just needs to run its course. The doc recommended running the humidifier and propping up his crib mattress.
1) My husband thinks there is already too much humidity in the air some of those days it was getting warm, plus we have the built in thingy that adjusts the humidity in our house, so he doesn't want more, to increase the chance of mold. Is it really bad to have the humidifier running in his room (with the door open, as I heard that is best since he has a small room) during the warmer months?
2). When we prop up the bed (even a little) K ends up sliding down in to the corner of the bottom of the crib and fusses. He does move a lot anyways in the crib, and we have found him in the corners without propping, but I am just wondering if there are any tricks to this that I may be missing.
TIA!
Re: Humidifiers
Just my 2 cents but Oliver has also had a cough for that length of time or even longer... it just takes a while to clear up.... i wouldn't think anything is necessary (humi or propping)...just let it run its course. the kids in daycare just keep passing this stuff back and forth... it happens and i wouldn't worry....
