Re: i HATE getting gas

  • I don't mind it, but I'm lucky because I get gas about once a month.

I do hate it during the winter when the wind is blowing and your hands freeze.  That always makes me want to find a full-service station!

  • i've always hated getting gas and put it off until the last minute in hopes that DH gets in the car and will do it. ;) lol...and yes, spending $50 when it used to cost me $25 to fill up is pretty sickening too!

  • I only mind in the wind/rain/snow and I actually like the smell (weird) but not on me. I dont think Ive ever gotten gas on myself

  • I love the smell of gas and I usually do full serivce.  I ALWAYS do full service in the winter. Depending how much more expensive (I won't go to full service if it's more than $.05/gallong), I'll go to full service. Call me spoiled but the $2 or whatever difference doesn't bother me when we're doing $300+/week.

  • There's no such thing as "full service" down here. You pump or you're SOL. Or you strategically wait until your H is in the car and he pumps. That's what I usually do!

HOLY SHIZ! Thats a lot of gas! I guess $2 really is nothing in comparison

Yeah, like others we have no "service" at all. Unless you're handicapped.

  • What is this full-service you people speak of?  :-P  Yeah we don't have anything like that around here.  I don't mind getting gas so much, aside from the cost.  The weather is never really an issue here, unless you're filling up to evacuate from a hurricane.  LOLZ!  (omg, please see the sarcasm there)  I don't drive much, so I fill up about once a month, maybe three weeks if I am out and about a lot.  Ha.  The other day my total was $65.  I was like holy.shiit.  No wonder I stay home.

I did get pretty pissy when I was driving home yesterday and saw that gas was 30 cents cheaper than what I paid Saturday night... and yeah just now my cousin posted on FB that it has now dropped 50 cents.  Gah!  I should go fill up a few gas cans.  lol

  • I hate getting it in the winter time. Especially after a long day at work and its dark out. I also wont get it before work b/c I dont want to smell like gas. I really prefer to only get my gas from Costco b/c its so much cheaper so that takes some strategic planning as well.

I do love that Jersey is ALL full service and the gas isn't any more expensive b/c of it. Way back when I use to pass of full service station on the way to one of my ex bf's house and I would stop and get gass there just for the novelty of it. I think its closed down since then and I'm never in that part of town anymore.

  • full service is weird to me....driving thru jersey i was like '"do i tip". "do i try to make conversation"...wth?"Huh?

Plus the little guy was smiling at me weird...i think i'd rather pump it myself, or then again, maybe i'd get used to it...
